I am buying my first guitar I need a amp and a guitar for no more than 300 dollars. Are guitars fun are they worth the money. I have played piano for 5 years and have fiddled with a acoustic for a year I can play the begging of songs and stuff. I was thinking of one of those ones at the music stores for 200 dollars are they ok for begginers?

yeah, I think the ones for beginners are called First Act, I think they are less than 200 dollars. They’re actually pretty good
them squier packs r like 280 and comes with what u need go to musiciansfriend.com
Actually those First Act guitars — the ones they sell at Best Buy and Wal-Mart — are crap. Guitar shaped objects not worth the money.
For $300 or less, you can get a Squier Affinity guitar package with a guitar (Squier guitars are made by Fender), amp, tuner, gig bag, cable, strap and instructional DVD.
For even less, around $200, you can get an Epiphone Les Paul Special II package, with a guitar, 10-watt Epiphone amp, gig bag, tuner, cable, and instructional DVD.
Shop around on the internet, you’ll see what’s available.
Are guitars fun? Absolutely. Are guitars easy to play? Depends on what you mean by “play”. If your only interest is to learn to strum a handful of simple chords while you sing, you can probably learn to do that in about 6 months with practice. If you only care to learn a few intros to songs and famous guitar riffs to impress your friends without bothering to learn the whole songs — yeah, maybe 6 months to a year depending on how many intros and riffs you want to learn. If you actually want to learn how to MAKE MUSIC on the darn thing — play rhythm guitar backup using chords up and down the neck in any key; figure out songs by ear; play along with a group of people in a jam session, even on songs you’ve never heard before; improvise lead guitar solos that actually sound halfway decent, and all that — figure on it taking several YEARS of practice and hard work. That’s not to say that it won’t be rewarding — but it will be work. But you already play piano so you know what it takes to get really good on an instrument.
its been said that the guitar is one of the easiest instruments in the world to play badly, and one of the hardest to play really, really well.
Are you willing to make the commitment and put in the time to get good, or do you just want to screw around with the guitar? There are no shortcuts.

-Will make other envious of your practice amp.
Guitar: http://www.rondomusic.com/electricguitar-ss4.html
-Quality guitars at low prices. Downside is you can’t try them before buying. Assuming you have $200 left after the cube purchase and don’t buy something off there, go for a used guitar that would normally be $300 or $400. You’ll be much happier than with a Squier or Bronze Warlock or Whatever.
Oops, meant this practice amp.

Damn lack of editing features.
You should visit the Guitar Center if there is one located near you. You would be abble to purchase an Epihone Les Paul guitar for less than $200. You can try it out at the store before a purchase is made.
Guitars are worth every penny
First Act is a great choice for cheap, good(ish) quality guitars.
i like them.
i’d deinately recommend taking guitar up.
once you get the basics,it’s easy to play.
and when you get more into it and willing to spend a little more money,i’d recommend Gibson guitars and Marshall amps.
yesss guitar is veryyy fun
u should definitely do it!
i played piano to forever… then i took up guitar and i love it
i started with an acoustic… its a lot easier to learn on
so i would try to learn a lot on that first.. but then if u want to buy an electric… i would go to a music store like guitar center
dont buy one online or at places like target and walmart
i would try a pack: usually they sell an electric with an amp that is all together its usually around 200 i gess
i would go with a fender pack i have one and its great
if u need an acoustic… try some out i have an epiphone
and its great! hope that helped!
Well it depends on the style of music you like.
For Metal i suggest Ibanez
Punk i suggest epiphone
Rock i suggest A squire Stratocaster
most of the time the strat is the best choice only because its very rounded out. its good for all styles. my only problem with them is that the squire ones are sometimes very badly built and only last for about 1-3 years depending on how you take care of it. but over all they are great beginner guitars and i highly suggest biginners to start on that guitar.
also alot of times brands like jackson, b.c. rich and Fender have these value packs that come with a Guitar, amp, cord, strap, picks, and sometimes a book or DVD of some kind.
those i only suggest for younger players becuase they are often times built very cheap and have a very low life. however they are good value. they usually cost between 100 and 200 dollars.
the other thing you should consider is where to buy. i suggest buying in stores that give at least 30 days of a return policy.
Guitar is one of the hardest instruments to learn and usually will totally piss you off for the first 6-8 months. but if you keep it up then you have nohting to worry about.
I hope i have helped. i know its long to read and there are alot of spelling errors lol. but i hope you have fun. guitar is great
Good Luck!!!
yeah a squire strat pack is a great starter instrument that comes with an amp and tools to learn. Guitars are definately worth the money ive been playing for about 6 or 7 years and i still spend hours playing trust me they are worth the invesment
If you can go to a store with used guitars, you can get more for your money that way. Play with AS MANY AS YOU CAN. Find something that is comfortable for you to play and start there. Good Luck
I don’t know about what to buy, but I wanted to answer your “Are guitars fun are they worth money” question.
If you are willing to put in the effort and practice time playing guitar can be the most joyous things to do in the worl, but if you give up and aren’t really into music and guitar playing then you might find it boring.
Make sure that you are willing to put the effort into it and that you actually enjoy doing it before you spend 300 dollars on it.
Edit: I thought of something else to say.
If you are looking for the best beginner guitar then look at a Fender Squier Stratocaster. And looks at mini amps. They should be only around $50
